Cell Towers & EMF Exposure Across the United States
Explore electromagnetic field data for 51 states and 618 cities. See cell tower density, power line infrastructure, and combined RF + ELF scores by location.
Understanding EMF Exposure by Region
EMF Radar tracks both RF sources (cell towers) and ELF sources (transmission lines, substations) to give you a complete picture.
Urban Areas
NYC, LA, Chicago, etc.Dense concentrations of 5G and LTE towers plus extensive power grid infrastructure produce the highest EMF scores.
Rural & Suburban
Smaller cities, rural townsFewer towers and less infrastructure mean lower RF scores, though proximity to transmission lines can still create ELF hotspots.
How the EMF Score Works
The combined EMF score is weighted toward whichever source contributes more exposure at your location. A city with many cell towers but no power lines will have a high RF sub-score but a low ELF sub-score.
What the Scores Mean
Common in suburban and rural areas. Fewer towers and limited power infrastructure nearby.
Typical of mid-size cities or suburbs near major infrastructure corridors.
Dense urban areas with many towers, power lines, and substations concentrated nearby.
